Wondering what to expect from your podiatry appointment?

We understand that coming to a new clinic can be a bit daunting or scary. But don’t panic! We are here to help you. Although we will ask a LOT of questions, and there will be forms to fill out, we need to do that to get to the bottom of your foot problem.

When you come into our clinic we will:

  • Listen as you tell us what problems you are having, the type of activities you enjoy and how your problem is limiting you.
  • We will go through a few tests (don’t worry you won’t have to study for them 🙂 ) to help our diagnosis. We may also have to send you for imaging like xrays or ultrasounds to get a better picture of what is going on.
  • We will assess and find out why you have the issue and address what we need to do to fix it.
  • At the end of the consult we will have a plan of action on what we can do together to fix the problem, so you can get back to doing the things you enjoy.

You will also need to bring a few things to your appointment:

Shoes

Bring in the shoes you wear the most, so we can look at them & make any recommendations.

Orthotics

If you have orthotics we would love to see them, so bring them along.

History

Previous results – like xrays or ultrasounds, or any surgical reports, etc.

Referral

If your doctor or healthcare provider has given you one, please bring it in.

Clothing

Comfortable clothing – we will be getting you to do some walking as part of your consult

Cards

Health insurance care, medicare card – so we can process your rebate in the clinic to save you having to do it yourself.

If you are not sure of anything else, don’t hesitate to contact us on 9542 3491 and our wonderful reception team will help you out.
